Quality Policy Statement

The Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) is a statutory body established under Section 3(1) of the Engineers Act 2011. The mandate of the EBK is: – Registration of engineers and engineering consulting firms; Regulation of engineering professional services, Setting of engineering standards; Development and general practice of engineering.

The Board is committed to provide its customers with high-quality services by developing and regulating the engineering practice for a safe, efficient and effective engineering infrastructure, systems and processes for Kenya

To achieve this, EBK shall:

  • Maintain and continually improve the established Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015 International Standard;
  • Comply with the identified customers’ needs, contractual expectations and all applicable legal and statutory requirements;
  • Ensure members of staff uphold the following core values in their day-to-day operations: Integrity, Customer-Centric, Accountability, Respect and Excellence;
  • Ensure that Quality Objectives are established and reviewed annually for continual improvement and suitability;
  • Ensure that this Quality policy and associated Quality Management System documentation are communicated and understood by all employees; and
  • Review and revise this Quality Policy whenever necessary to consider changes in the Quality Management System and emerging issues.
In serving our customers EBK shall be guided by the need to ensure production of globally competitive engineers and quality engineering services through regulation, capacity building and enforcing compliance with set engineering standards to meet the current and future needs of society.
